Moving Diablo II to consoles and a new movie trailer

Diablo 2 so far was playable only on computers. VICARIUS VISIONS, however, wanted the Console players to taste the remaster and according to the latest blog entry, it was not an easy way.

Warcraft 3 Reforged Team Pulled From Diablo 2 Remake, Vicarious Visions Merged With Blizzard To Help Adaptation on the Console of the title, which initially was designed to handle the keyboard and mice on PC created a pair of problems, on the occasion you wanted to keep a classic experience. The most important for them was to have interplatform progression.

When playing on the controller, moving the character is assigned to the bar. So this player, and does not play the game where our character pretends. In order for everything to work as you need, you had to disable tracking paths on consoles, and as a result, players can now go into places where the game will never be guided before. Diablo II contains a stamin system and creators wanted to move on the principle of leveling the bar, depending on how much we will turn it out, our character will move slower or maximum speed.

Another difference is the lack of a cursor. This means that there is nothing to aim and attack. When handling the controller, the aim is automatic and the priority of the goals is determined on many levels, even dependent on the class. For example, the necromancer treats the delay more priority than other classes.

Raising objects has also been fully customized. In the case of PC, it was enough to hold the key to see the name of the subject and raise it. On the console it will happen automatically, just approach close and the name reveals itself.

In the case of shortcuts and skills, a solution from Diablo III was used here. A classic way would not check and add 6 additional places on the ability.

The console version will not receive the function of creating a custom lobby and browsing servers and chat, instead of the automatic team search engine.

On the incentive, the old film trailer has been waiting for Remaster. Below you can watch it in a new version. Diablo II: Resurrected starts on September 23.
